Well done to the Intermediate Team and Management who defeated Bunninadden 0-12 to 0-11 in the Championship Semi-Final last Sunday. The team was Donal Tuohy, Colin Harte, Paul Higgins, Paul Brennan, Shane Barry, Niall Henry, Michael Hannon (0-2), Frank Quinn, Liam O’Connell (0-1), Keith Candon, Vinny Boyd (0-2), Ciaran O’Connor (0-2), Mark Tuohy, David Quinn (0-2), Paddy O’Grady (0-3). Thanks to all the supporters who came out in big numbers to support the team and it was great to see new faces at the game – we hope to see ye all back in two weeks as we take on Calry/St Josephs in our our first adult Championship final in 20 years. The winner of the half time draw for a Gaels jersey was Isobel Foley.

The U16 Girls team lost narrowly 6-8 to 6-7 in a thrilling final of the 11-a-side Championship last Sunday. The Gaels were one point up going into the last few minutes – however Geevagh fought back and scored a goal in the last minute to secure victory. The team was: Maeve McDermott, Eilis O’Connor, Aoife Morrisroe, Lisa Callaghan, Sarah Walsh, Keeva McDermott, Chloe McTieran (1-1), Rachel Boyd (2-2), Roisin Kearns (1-3), Joanne Johnston (1-0), Sheona Leyden (1-0). Subs: Ailish Benson, Sinead McGovern, Ciara Kelly, Chloe Merrick, Makayla Henry (0-1), Mairead Tuohy, Katy McCann. Thanks to the Managers Michelle McMorrow and Edel Lyons for their work with the team this year.  

The Girls U14 team had an exciting 4-10 to 2-5 win over Tourlestrane in the Championship last Tuesday. Scorers : Roisin Kearns (1-1), Erin Mullaney (0-1), Rachel Boyd (1-3), Jane Benson (0-2), Mairead Tuohy (0-1), Makayla McLoughlin (2-2). They now play St Marys away this Wednesday. 

The Boys U14 team take on Owenmore Gaels at home next Sunday at 12.00PM in the semi-final of the A Championship – please come out and support. 

There was no winner of the lotto last week – the numbers drawn were 13, 16, 23, 31. The next draw is in McDermotts, Castlebaldwin next Saturday 11th October when the jackpot will be €1,800.
