The Intermediate team made their exit from the Championship with a 3-14 to 3-12 loss to Easkey. The Gaels had been eleven points up with fifteen minutes left however were unable to cope with a strong Easkey finish. The Minor’s had a 3-16 to 3-12 win over Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the Championship quarter final and now take on Calry/St Josephs away this Thursday 17th in the semi-final. 

The U16 boys had a big 5-12 to 1-5 win over Tubbercurry the championship play off. They now take on St Marys away this Monday 14th at 6.15PM in the shield semi-final.  

The U13 Feile team take on Drumcliffe/Rosses Point away this Wednesday 16th at 6.15PM. 

The Minor girls had a good 5-11 to 3-8 win over St Maloise Gaels last week in the Championship. The team was Meabh Mc Dermott, Ellis O' Connor, Sheona Leydon, Aoife Morrisroe, Sarah Walsh, Lisa Callaghan, Katy McCann, Roisin Durey, Louise Merrick (0-1), Roisin Kearns (0-1), Rachel Boyd (1-2), Eba McCann (1-3), Erin Mullaney (1-1), Mairead Tuohy (1-2), Joanne Johnston (1-1). Subs used: Jade Lyons, Jane Benson. 

The U16 girls play St Farnans in Riverstown on Monday 14th September. 

The Girls U14 team defeated Owenmore Gaels 6-7 to 2-8 in the Championship last Monday. The team was: Meabh McDermott, Aine Brennan, Leah Monaghan, Megan Little, Katie Little, Jade Lyons (1-0), Danielle McGovern, Eba McCann (0-3), Eala McDermott (0-1), Amy Healy, Chloe McTiernan, Erin Mullaney, Makayla McLoughlin (2-1), Jane Benson (2-2), Isobel Clarke (1-0) sub: Laoise King for L Monaghan.

The annual draw for two All Ireland tickets are available from any committee member. The draw takes place this Thursday 17th in McDermotts, Castlebaldwin.  There are also other great prizes on offer including a weekend away for two at a FBD hotel and 2 nights and evening meal at a Dalata Hotel.

The winner of the members draw for an All Ireland ticket was Sarah Kearns.

The club will be holding a church gate collection at all local churches on weekend of 3rd October.
