The club finished the year on a high note with a great 1-16 to 0-12 win over Eastern Harps in the U21 B Championship Final. In an exciting close game, the Gaels went into an early lead which they held for the entire game but it was not until the last ten minutes that the Gaels pulled ahead with points from Captain Michael Kilkenny and substitute Stephen Willis and a goal from man of the match Shane Deignan which gave the Gaels a deserved seven point win. Well done to the panel and management Brian Boyd, Donal Tuohy, Frank Quinn and Liam O'Connell on a great win. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Ben Tuohy, Patrick Benson, Karl McKenna (0-1), Andrew Flynn (0-1), Evan Lyons, Alan Kelly, Enda O'Connell, Michael Kilkenny (C) (0-2), Daire Kearns, Cian McDermott, James Carroll (0-1), Luke Flynn, Darragh Hailstones (0-5), Shane Deignan (1-4).
