The Minor team completed a great few days for the club capturing our second county title of the week when they were deserving winners over St Farnans in the Minor A League final replay. The Gaels had a fantastic first half and raced into an eight point lead with some impressive forward play and scores only matched by great defending that limited St Farnans to two scores in the first half, one being a penalty in the closing stages to leave the half time score 0-9 to 1-1. It was St Farnans who were on top in the early stages of the second half and helped by two quick goals found themselves two points ahead mid-way through the half. The Gaels dug deep and Andy Flynn fired home a goal to put the Gaels three up after points from Steven Willis and Darragh Hailstones had leveled the game. St Farnans did pull one back before Flynn again pointed to restore the Gaels advantage. Despite a strong finish from St Farnans the Gaels' resilient defence absorbed all that was thrown at them and we went on to win on a scoreline of 1-14 to 3-5. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Paul Harrington, Ben Tuohy, Evan Lyons, Alan Kelly, Karl McKenna, Daniel Murphy, James Carroll (0-1), Enda O'Connell (Capt), Andy Flynn (1-3), Darragh Hailstones (0-3), Daire Kearns (0-3), Dylan Willis (0-1), Steven Willis (0-2), Seamus Hailstones.
